About the Role:
Palm Tree Interventional Pain Management in St. Cloud, FL is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of patients managing chronic pain, working alongside skilled specialists in a supportive clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and clinical staff with patient examinations and interventional pain management procedures
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories accurately in the EMR system
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sanitation and stocking of supplies
- Administer injections, collect lab specimens, and perform other clinical duties as directed
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals and prior authorizations
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical best practices
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a medical office, pain management, or specialty clinic setting is a plus
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills including vital signs and injections
- Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
